Gordon Brown and Labour's Old Politics: Change Required |
| About Us | |
|
The Buckingham Constituency was a Conservative seat which elected John Bercow in May 1997, but since John has been elected Speaker of the House of Commons he is no longer part of the Conservative party so to maintain the impartiality of the Speakers office. You, the electorate, will still be able to vote for John in a General Election, but not under the Conservative banner. As a result the Buckingham Conservative office oversees local government and promotes the Conservative party cause. The Association Office is in Winslow and covers a large area, much of the Aylesbury Vale district including the town of Buckingham which makes up the Buckingham Constituency. |

There is an active Womans Group, who gather regularly for social occasions. At the Annual Conference both Buckingham and Aylesbury turned out at Fairford Leys for a wonderful day with speakers including David Lidington, Howard Flyte and Nick Herbert. The aim of the Patrons Club is to provide a sound financial background to ensure Conservative representation at all levels of government. |
